The Jordan Hotels Association held a training workshop on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, titled “Food Cost Control,” with the participation of a number of employees from three-, four-, and five-star hotels in the capital, Amman.
The workshop was delivered by trainer Sael Qassem, who presented a range of key topics related to managing and controlling food costs within hotel establishments. These included cost calculation methods, inventory control mechanisms, waste reduction strategies, and improving operational efficiency within food and beverage departments.
The training aimed to strengthen the capabilities of hospitality professionals in achieving a balance between service quality and cost control, ultimately contributing to improved profitability and enhanced performance across tourism establishments.
The workshop witnessed strong engagement from participants through interactive discussions and the exchange of practical experiences, highlighting the importance of such training programs in supporting and developing the hospitality workforce, while keeping pace with best professional practices in cost management.
